Jeff Koons

Jeff Koons (born in 1955 in York, Pennsylvania) is one of the most emblematic contemporary artists of his generation. Heir to Pop Art and the Duchampian readymade, his work explores mass culture, desire, and the notion of value through large-scale, often controversial creations.
From his mirror-polished Balloon Dogs to the explicit Made in Heaven series or his inflatable toy–inspired sculptures, Koons elevates the banal into icons of popular culture. His practice blurs the boundaries between kitsch and luxury, spectacle and sincerity, while affirming a universal and optimistic message centered on acceptance and self-celebration.
Jeff Koons’s work is exhibited worldwide and features in the most prestigious public and private collections, making him a central figure of global contemporary art.
