100 Violons

Description

2004

Accumulation of bronze violins embedded in resin. Edition of 99 copies + 20 artist’s proofs (AP). Signed and numbered.

This work belongs to one of Arman’s most emblematic themes: the accumulation of objects, here centered on the recurring motif of the violin. Both sculptural and rhythmic, the composition plays on repetition and density, transforming the object into a true pictorial material.

With its compact format and immediate visual clarity, 100 violins serves as an excellent entry point into Arman’s body of work, while maintaining a strong visual presence.
